A catch-all mailbox receives messages sent to nonexistent email addresses under the very same domain. For example, an email message sent to the miswritten suport@domain.com will go to support@domain.com if the catch-all feature has been enabled for the latter. Thus, you can get messages from pals or clients who may have sent a message to your email address with a typo or to an out-of-date one, which they may still have, but you have already deleted. Only one single mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be activated for such a mailbox. This is so because of the fact that at some moment you may begin receiving spam emails in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding restriction means that the spam will not be re-sent to a 3rd-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Hosting

You will be able to configure a catch-all mailbox easily if you have a shared hosting plan with us. The Email Manager in our in-house built Hepsia Control Panel is feature-laden, yet remarkably easy to work with, and it will allow you to activate different features, including the catch-all one, with just several mouse clicks. All the mailboxes that you’ve got will be displayed in alphabetical order in this section and to the right of each one you will notice a small-size "Catch-all" logo. Clicking on it once will activate this feature, clicking it twice will disable it. As you can have only one such mailbox per domain name, our system will alert you if you’ve already got another one with this option enabled or if you have activated email forwarding.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

You will be able to set up a catch-all address with no more than a click in case you have a semi-dedicated service with our company and your emails are handled by our cloud hosting platform. All the addresses that you create using any domain name hosted in your semi-dedicated account will be listed in the Hepsia hosting Control Panel’s Email Manager section. Each of them will have a small-size "Catch-all" icon on its right-hand side, so all it will take to activate the feature will be to click on that icon. In the very same manner you’ll be able to turn off the feature, if you do not need it any longer. Our system will let you know in case you’re attempting to activate a second catch-all email address for a specific domain name or in case there is active email forwarding, but it will never disable or modify anything automatically or without your approval.
